Having held an oral and public trial in the criminal case against the accused Milanko Obradović, on 16 May 2023 the Court delivered and pronounced a judgment finding the accused Milanko Obradović guilty that by the acts described in the operative part of the Judgment he committed the criminal offense of Accepting Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit under Article 217(1) CC BiH. The Court sentenced the accused to one (1) year of imprisonment, and ordered confiscation of the ill-gotten gain in the amount of 100.00 EUR, which is the amount of the gift received, and which the accused shall pay towards the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina within 30 (thirty) days of the day when the judgment becomes final.

The accused Milanko Obradović was found guilty that on 25 July 2021, at the border crossing (CR/GP) of Vardište, in his capacity as an official person in the institutions of BiH – ITA BiH employee, shift leader at CR/GP Vardište, using his official and influential position, he performed an act he was not supposed to perform, in which way, fully aware of the illegality of those acts yet wanting their perpetration, he received benefit for himself in exchange for a promise to perform, within his office, an act he was not supposed to perform, and thus enabled S.T. to import goods without paying the relevant duties in the amount of 907.90 BAM, in violation of the BiH Law on Customs Policy, of which he deprived the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
