Today, the Judicial Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) arrested Radmilo Vuković pursuant to an order issued by the Court of BiH. On 7 May 2007, the Appellate Panel of Section I for War Crimes of the Court of BiH rendered a decision ordering custody to the Accused.

On 16 April 2007, the Trial Panel handed down the first instance verdict in this case finding Radmilo Vuković guilty of War crimes against civilians and sentencing him to five years and six months imprisonment.

On 14 February 2007, while carrying out a regular review of justification of custody, the Trial Panel terminated custody for the Accused, having concluded that circumstances, on the basis of which custody had been ordered, had changed, and finding that reasons for extension of custody ceased to exist.  The Trial Panel concluded that custody is no longer necessary for the security of public and property.

On 17 April 2007, the Trial Panel refused the Prosecutor’s motion for an order of custody. On 7 May, the Appellate Panel upheld the Prosecutor’s appeal filed against this decision, revised the decision, and ordered custody for Radmilo Vuković.  The Appellate Panel ordered custody having found that it is necessary for the security of public and property.  Following this, the Court issued an order for arrest of the Accused.
